Sharon Kay McKenzie, 60, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020 at her home.
A celebration of life will be held at Bowling Green Country Club at a later date.
Sharon was born on June 4, 1960 in St. Mary’s County Maryland to John and Mary Angle Pilkerton. She was preceded in death by her father and her brother, Chris Pilkerton. She was an avid golfer at Bowling Green Club.
Surviving along with her mother are her husband of 43 years, John F. McKenzie; son, Daniel Robert McKenzie; sister, Barbara Hayden (Tommy); two brothers, Jack Pilkerton and Timmy Pilkerton (Sylvia) and three grandchildren, Kamren Parker, Rosalie Hogan and Trenton McKenzie.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Warren County Humane Society, 1245 Progress Drive, Front Royal, Virginia 22630 or to Kelsey’s Missions, 1407 Collingworth Road, Alexandria, Virginia 22308.
A Celebration of life will take place at 2 P.M. on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Bowling Green Country Club at the South Course location.

Sharon and I worked together at Weight Watchers! She was a joy to work with. Always there for her friends (she even loaned me a dress I used as my wedding dress) and I remember her great laugh and smile! Prayers for her family oh how she loved you!
It is s sorrowful to lose such a special lady.
