Sharon Margaret Webb

Sharon Margaret Webb, 76, died June 3, 2021 at her residence in Bentonville, VA, after a long illness.

Sharon was born July 31, 1944 in Cleveland, OH, to Claude Winney and Florence Mitchell, only minutes older than her identical twin sister, Sandi. Sharon and Sandi remained close their entire lives.

Sharon married George Lee Webb on January 25, 1969, and together they raised two daughters. Sharon enjoyed a long, successful career as an administrator at the University of Pittsburgh Drug Discovery Institute until she retired to Lake of the Woods in Locust Grove, VA, with George and Sandi. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, needlepoint work, searching for and restoring antique furniture, and socializing with her friends.

Sharon was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. She opened her heart to many people over the years and she is sorely missed.

Sharon is survived by younger brother David Winney and his wife, Maureen Serchio Winney; daughters Lisa (Webb) Lang and Heather (Webb) Wise and their respective husbands, Jeff and Jonathan; nephew Ryan Winney, his partner Kim Schultz, and their two children, Donovan and Anika; one grandson, Aaron Smith, his wife Ashley, and their son, Enzo; two granddaughters, Sharyn and Jenifer Fabiszewski, and brother-in-law Michael T. Webb, his wife Norma Mullins, and Michael’s sons, John and Joe Webb.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Lake of the Woods Church in Locust Grove, VA.
