Sharon Speicher Snapp “Spike”, 69, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at her home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal with Susan O’Kelly, Chaplain Blue Ridge Hospice, officiating.

Mrs. Snapp was born on June 11, 1947 in Front Royal to the late John S. Burnett and Dorothy Zwick Burnett.

She retired from Rubbermaid Commercial Products after 35 years, was a member of Front Royal Women of the Moose #829, a lifetime member of Buckton Presbyterian Church, a member of the Winchester Wheelman Bicycle Group, an avid bicyclist and a black belt in Karate under the instruction of Arthur Drago with Front Royal Karate Club. Most of all she was a loving and devoted wife and mother.

Survivors include her husband of over 43 years, Harvey A. Snapp; three daughters, Tina Snapp of Annandale, Virginia, Samantha Baugher (Clay) of Bentonville, Virginia and Melissa Snapp (Chris Beverlin) of Front Royal; two brothers, Charles Burnett (Rebecca) of Front Royal and Robert Burnett (Denise) of Lexington, Kentucky; two sisters, Lois McDonald of Uniontown, Pennsylvania and Trudi Riley of Front Royal; four grandchildren, Jessica Pfister, Abigail Baugher, Samuel Baugher all of Bentonville and Brendan Snapp of Front Royal; one great grandson, Isaiah Hall of Front Royal; special friends, Rob and Laura Engel; grandpets, Skippy and Sweetie Pie; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends and many beloved pets.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
