Steven “Stan” John Carden, 55, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016 at UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 W. Main St., Front Royal with the Reverend Lisa Webb officiating.

Mr. Carden was born May 7, 1960 in Brooklyn, New York to the late George Patrick Carden and Marie O’Brien Carden.

He has lived in the Front Royal area for twelve years and was currently a Regional Sales Manager with the Guerbet Company. He attended the University of Nevada in Las Vegas, was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church and he was a dog lover, adopting several dogs from the Warren County Humane Society.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Susan S. Carden of Front Royal; two sons, Reed Carden of Corolla, North Carolina and Drew Carden of Bunker Hill, West Virginia; two sisters, Maureen Carey and her husband Ed of Rye, New York and Virginia Carnahan and her husband David of Needham, Massachusetts; one brother, Bob Carden and his wife, Susan of Naperville, Illinois; one sister-in-law, Donna Jewell and her husband Mike of Richmond, Virginia; and his aunt, Shirley Lynn of Woodstock, Virginia. He was blessed with many nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal. Interment will take place at a later date at Panorama Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Warren County Humane Society, 1245 Progress Drive, Front Royal.
