Suzanne “Suzy” Ipince, 93, of Bentonville, Virginia, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 5:30 PM at the pavilion at Reitano Vineyard, 137 Lee Burke Road, Front Royal, Virginia.
Suzy was born on September 18, 1932, in Rabat, Morocco, to the late Alphonse and Dolores Mestre Barthelemy. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
She loved being outside in the beauty of nature, white flowers, and spending time with family and friends.
She was an elegant lady who loved to dance, share stories of her life, and bring joy to those around her. She carried a deep appreciation for simple things, meaningful conversations, and the people she loved most.
She is survived by her two sisters, Claude and Rose; her son, Guy Almodovar and his wife, Kathy; two daughters, Laura Darr and her husband, Rusty, and Brigitte Miller and her husband, Dale; six grandchildren, Randy Almodovar, Cory Darr, Melanie Darr, Jacob Darr and his wife, Yakira, Kerri Wright and her husband, Chad, Kaylee Richardson and her husband, Charles; and nine great-grandchildren, Keagan Wright, Aislinn Wright, Caelan Wright, Jordan Richardson, Carson Richardson, Ella Richardson, Logan Darr, Hunter Smith, and October Darr.
In lieu of flowers, she would ask everyone to simply love one another.

Sending prayers for healing as you close up the final chapter of this beautiful life.

Guy, Laura & Brigitte sorry for your loss.
We were deeply saddened by the loss of such a special friend of our senior center. Her heritage, wisdom, and wonderful example of never being too old to learn something new will forever remain part of the memories we share here at the center. She inspired so many with her curiosity, joyful spirit, and love of nature. And of course, we will always remember her as our ‘Dancing Queen,’ bringing smiles, laughter, and happiness wherever she went. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
