Willem “Opa” Dykhuizen, 85, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 at his home.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 2 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal with Pastor Bobby Stepp officiating. Burial will follow at Rockland Cemetery.
Mr. Dykhuizen was born on March 10, 1935 in the Netherlands to the late Arie Simon and Neeltje Dykhuizen. He was currently attending New Hope Bible Church in Front Royal.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Juliana Dykhuizen of Front Royal; son, William Marc Dykhuizen of Richmond, Virginia; two daughters, Michelle Neda Alles of Browntown, Virginia and Theresa Caron Bowman of Rock Hill, South Carolina; two sisters, Nellie Marsell and Adriana Wolsak and eight grandchildren, Juliana, Amy, Cory, Kyler, Luke, Eva, Laura and Sarah.
Pallbearers will be William Marc Dykhuizen, Brock Bowman, Devin Alles, Cory Alles, Kyler Bowman and Luke Dykhuizen.
The family will receive friends one half hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Thermal Shelter of Front Royal, PO Box 454, Front Royal, Virginia 22630.
