James O. Lafferty, 69, of Stanley, formerly of Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015, in his home.

Services will be private.

Mr. Lafferty was born on September 28, 1946, in Monclo, West Virginia, son of the late John Henry Payton Lafferty and Lillian Elizabeth Jarrel Lafferty. He retired from the United States Navy after twenty-one and a half years of service to his country.

Surviving are his wife Janet Lafferty; and many other family members and friends.
