Brian Ruffner, 57, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 in Winchester Medical Center after a long courageous battle with cancer.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with Sammy Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Brian was born February 11, 1969 in Front Royal, Virginia, son of Kaye M. Ruffner Sealock of Front Royal and the late Charles Edward Ruffner.
Brian was a painter for many years, but was the happiest doing yard work and being a fix it man. He never met a stranger and would talk to anyone.
He will be greatly missed by his family and numerous friends.
Surviving, along with his mother, is a daughter, Carleigh Ruffner of Culpeper; one brother, Jody Ruffner and wife Christine of Front Royal; one step-sister, Nancy Wille of Missouri; and one grandchild on the way.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Ruffner; brother, Chuck Ruffner; and a sister, Missy Ruffner Jenkins.
Pallbearers will be Jody Ruffner, Donnie Sloat, Davey Foster, Allen Burke, Greg Vaught and Greg Willingham.
Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Smoot, Ronnie Henry, Anthony Kerns, Kevin Patterson, Kenny Boyd and Chris Sealock.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 12 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
