Larry “Tex” Ritter, 72 of Waynesboro, Virginia and formerly of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Augusta Health in Fishersville, Virginia.

A private family graveside service will be at a later date.

Tex was born June 20, 1954 in Front Royal, Virginia, son of the late David Charles and Ethel Mae Jenkins Ritter.

He retired after many years from A&P as a produce manager.

Surviving is his brother, Randy Ritter and wife Janet of Elkwood, Virginia; two step-daughters, Jenny and Tammy; several grandchildren; and many cousins.

Tex was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Texas Ritter.
