Michael Wayne Lewis, 59, of Front Royal, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, in his home.
A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held on Friday, April 1, at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Fellowship Church of God, 55 Westminster Drive, Front Royal.
Wayne was born on August 6, 1956, in Alexandria, son of Phyllis Ruth Hutson Edwards of Front Royal and the late Franklin Delano Roosevelt Lewis. Wayne was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran, having served from 1973 until 1975, when he received an honorable discharge due to medical reasons. Wayne was a mechanic with Sunoco until his retirement.
Surviving with his mother are his wife Crystal M. Lewis; one son Michael Wayne Lewis, II of Washington D.C.; three daughters, Brandi Lynn Lewis, Brittany Lee Lewis, and Rebecca Ann Martin all of Front Royal; two brothers, Razor Lewis and companion Patty Moon, and Mark Anthony Lewis both of Front Royal; mother-in-law, Wanda Lawson and companion Charlie Davis; brothers-in-law, Daniel, Eddie and Donnie Lawson; sisters-in-law, Denise Burke and Laverne Lawson; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
Wayne is also survived by his adopted children and grandchildren, whom he thought of as his own: Brittany Silvus, Destiny Vincent, Amber Funk, Olivia Funk, Tyler Funk, Lay Lay; and chocolate drop “Nana”. He is also survived by his two faithful companions Bonnie and Precious Lewis.
Wayne was preceded in death by his father, step-father, brother, aunts, and uncles.
