Audrey Lou Henry Carter, 86, of Front Royal, VA, died on Monday, January 29, 2018.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 4, at 2:00 p.m. at Prospect Hill Cemetery conducted by Sammy Campbell. Viewing hours will be on Saturday, February 3, from 10: 00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home.

Mrs. Carter was born June 8, 1931 in Front Royal, VA, daughter of the late William Ira Henry and Maggie May Ramey Henry. She worked for many years as a sales associate for Caster Knotts/ Dillard’s department store and was a former member of Front Royal United Methodist Church. She was married to the late William Leo Carter.

Surviving are three sons Tracy Carter and wife Shelly and Bruce Carter and wife Christie all of Front Royal and Barry Carter of Murfreesboro, TN; five grandchildren Corey Carter, Alex Carter, Adam Carter, Misty Zimmerly, and Nathan Miller; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters and her grandson Blair Carter.
