Bryan Franklin Strickler

Bryan Franklin Strickler, ( TSGT., U S Air Force, Ret.) 81, of Round Hill, VA, formerly of Front Royal, VA, died on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at his home.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 29, at 10:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery with full military honors.

Mr. Strickler was born October 28, 1934 in Stephens City, VA, son of the late Harry Morgan Strickler and Betsy Williams Strickler. He retired as Tech Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force and also retired from Costco as a cashier. Mr. Strickler was a member of Front Royal American Legion, Giles B. Cook Post 53 and Front Royal Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 829. He was married to the late Anna Marie Kaufman Strickler.

Surviving are his son William Strickler and wife Debora of Round Hill; one daughter Tina Stanton of Front Royal; one brother Bill Strickler of Annandale, VA; five grandchildren Malynda Jennings, Melyssa Johnson, Bryan Strickler, Shannon Stanton, and Colleen Stanton; and two great-grandchildren Charles Jennings and MyKaila Johnson.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 28, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1833 Plaza Dr., Winchester, VA 22601.
