Cassaundra Ruth Booth

Cassaundra was born Tuesday, June 12, 1984 in Harrisonburg, VA and welcomed as the third child of Dwight and Kathleen George.

She grew into a beautiful woman with her huge warm smile, gentle words, and positive attitude. Her quick wit and quirky sense of humor served her well. She was the “go to” person for those closest to her. She was especially gifted in figuring out a difficult situation often coming up with unique answers, designing thoughtful gifts, and organizing parties.

She loved butterflies, helicopters, and Iris flowers especially deep wine color.

Cassaundra enjoyed adventure and travel especially when her sister and best friend, Cyndi, could accompany her. Her favorite pastime was spending time with family. She was always up for an exciting board game.

Her nurturing nature lead her into a career as a personal assistant to special needs children, a Christian school teacher, and a substitute teacher in Clarke County.

In 2015, she met the love of her life, Adam Booth. They married on September 2, 2016. They resided in Winchester, VA. She and Adam continued the adventure by taking a Caribbean cruise, hiking, binge watching TV shows, attending local events, museums, paintballing, ice skating, and taste testing every restaurant in town. She lived life to the fullest.

After the short battle with melanoma cancer, she peacefully went home to be with the Lord on May 28, 2018.
She is survived by her husband, parents, two sisters & 5 brothers and their spouses, 5 nieces and 4 nephews, her two grandmothers, 3 uncles, 3 aunts, and many cousins.

I enjoyed reading this because I got to learn even more about Cassaundra! However I feel so sad that such a special person with so much love to give to her husband, big awesome family, friends, and both special needs and typical kids has had to leave so soon! It’s still hard to believe.
Sometimes it’s so hard to understand why things like this happen; but I am so grateful that because of her faith she lives on in heaven and that someday we will all be with her again! My sincerest and deepest sympathy to her parents, her husband Adam, her siblings, and the rest of her family.

Our deepest condolences for the loss of Cassaundra. We knew her for a short time, overall and compared to many of you, but we mourn her loss with you. Sadder days in this world to have lost a beautiful life, but a much happier days for Cassie. God bless.

Anwar and I are saddened by the loss of Cassie. We send our condolences to the family and her husband, Adam. We can’t imagine the pain that everyone is going through, and we pray every day for strength, comfort, and peace during this difficult time.

Over the past two years, I really enjoyed getting to know Cassie. (Secretly, she was my favorite George family member!) We talked about Adam, the kids at her school, make up (which I was never able to get her to wear!), and the dreams we had for ourselves and our families. I admired her wit and how comfortable she was in her own skin. Anwar affectionately nicknamed her “Coach Cass” since she coached a Sky ball game a few years ago. Cassie made a lasting impression on everyone around her. Anwar and I will surely miss having her around and we will always cherish the memories that we have of her.

Please reach out to us if anyone needs anything. We are here always.
