Pauline “Polly” Campbell Mitchell, 94, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at her residence.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 11 AM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal with Sammy Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Detrick Cemetery, Fort Valley.
Mrs. Mitchell was born on June 2, 1924 in Bentonville, Virginia to the late Clarence and Ruth Ralls Campbell. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Homer Douglas Danner, Sr.; second husband, Price Mitchell; two brothers, Paul Campbell and Raymond Campbell and daughter, Barbara Ann Danner.
She loved to cook and retired from the public school system as a cafeteria cook.
Survivors include her two sons, Homer D. Danner, Jr. and Lee J. Danner; two daughters, Paula M. Rhodes and Doris Hope Dodson; sister, Clara Ellen Fritts; sister-in-law, Alice Campbell; ten grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
