Dennis John Humenik, 80, of New Bern, North Carolina passed away on Friday, October 17, 2024 with his family in Linden, Virginia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 120 West Main Street, Front Royal with Father Daniel Gee officiating.  Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Humenik was born on July 31, 1944 in Fairfax, Virginia to the late Frank Humenik and Gladys Evoy Moore.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Donald Humenik and sister, Christel Humenik.  He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in New Bern, North Carolina where he volunteered for the food pantry.  He retired as a cartographer from the United States Geological Survey.

Survivors include his son, Damon Humenik; daughter, Shoana Riccio; four grandchildren, Cheyenne, Dillan, Cameron and Fiona; great grandson, Dominic and one great grandchild on the way.

The family will receive friends one half hour prior to the service at the church.
