Dennis W. “Denny” Wines, Sr., 67, of Front Royal, VA, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Warren Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 8, at 4:00 p.m. at Grace Fellowship Church, 55 Westminster Dr., Front Royal. A reception will be held at the church following the service.

Mr. Wines was born December 3, 1949 in Front Royal, VA, son of the late Haywood Wines and Sybil Elizabeth Fox Wines. He retired as a truck driver for G.E.I.. Mr. Wines was an avid hunter and enjoyed his antique cars. He never met a stranger and was willing to help anyone at anytime.

Surviving are his wife Joan T. Wines of Front Royal; one son Dennis W. Wines of Middletown, VA; one daughter Tracy Fincham and husband Jeff of Toms Brook; one sister Teresa Magalis and husband Jeff of Front Royal; two step-brothers Bobby Costello and Buster Costello; five grandchildren Phillip Wines, Lacy Wines, Nathan Fincham, Cody Fincham, and Dillon Fincham; numerous great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces Robert Moore, Charles Barbardo, and Cosmo Barbardo all of Front Royal, Angelo Barbardo of Germany, Angela McMillan of Greeley, CO, and Diana Brady of Charles Town, WV, Daniel Jacob Thompson of Arizona, Robert Pennington, Jr. of Front Royal, Jordan Magalis of Richmond, VA and Kelsey Smith of Florida; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters Lorraine Wines Pennington Lichliter and Linda Wines Thompson; two nieces Gertrude Anna Moore and Lisa Pennington Burke; and a stepmother Frances Wines.
