I was deeply saddened to learn of Diane’s passing. I first met her in 2010, shortly after I moved into the old farmhouse next door. From that very first day, she made me feel truly welcomed into the neighborhood, wrapping me in the warmth of her kindness without hesitation.

Over the years, I cherished countless memorable moments at Diane and Charlie’s home. I was always greeted with open arms and gentle words that put me at ease. We shared so many wonderful meals and leisurely morning cups of coffee, lingering over stories and laughter. Diane had a special tradition of inviting me over on Thanksgiving morning for her hearty oyster stew with crackers—a ritual I looked forward to every year. And oh, those breakfasts! Her homemade sausage gravy and biscuits were nothing short of legendary, each bite a testament to her loving touch in the kitchen.

Diane had her favorites, too—the Lifetime channel flickering endlessly in the background, and her beloved online games that kept her sharp and entertained. Whenever the family gathered for holidays or backyard cookouts, I was included without a second thought, as if I were one of their own. She was endlessly comical, her face lit with a perpetual smile and her quick wit ready to spark joy. No matter the day, Diane had a way of lifting spirits and drawing laughter from even the quietest corners—she certainly brought endless smiles to my own face.

Even after I moved away, our friendship endured; we stayed in touch, and she left an indelible mark on my heart. Diane was simply a remarkable woman—a fine, generous soul whose light touched everyone lucky enough to know her. This news weighs heavily on me. My deepest condolences to Charlie and the entire family, many of whom I came to know and adore over those cherished years. May her memory continue to bring you comfort and strength.

Over the years, I cherished memorable moments with these two I always thought Diane was our sister from a mother she was always there with open arms and always had gentle words that put you at ease. We shared so many wonderful stories and laughter Over the years, I cherished countless moments at Diane and Charlie’s house. We shared stories and laughter mostly about Charlie and our family’s relationship ,experiences and problems. She would do what ever she could to help and you. You could never go hungry she would never alone that.
Diane has her favorites breakfasts homemade sausage gravy and biscuits . But would never stop there, we go out to pick up something for dinner, but first we go shopping I remember that I would have to tell her I didn’t need anything because she would always want to get something for me ,but that was who she was always giving No other reason, she just had I big heart for friends and family alike, and she was going to make sure you felt special . But truth is she is the special person and anyone who knew her would appreciate and agree to that .
I’m going to miss this lady so much I hope she knows how much I love and appreciate her not just because she family because she was more then that to me, Diane you will always be in my heart miss you lady , Paula
