Elizabeth Anne Calendine, 91, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Heritage Hall of Front Royal.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 2 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal with the Rev. Taeshin Kim officiating.  Burial will follow at Bennett’s Chapel Cemetery, Front Royal.

Mrs. Calendine was born on February 18, 1935 in Pollock, Louisiana to the late Charles and Laura Martin Barrett.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Andrew Calendine and two brothers.  She was a retired librarian.

Survivors include her son, Stanley Andrew Calendine Jr.; two daughters, Sandra Elizabeth Apger and Ruth Anne Calendine; two brothers, one sister; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
