Kelvin Lamont “Poofie” Jordan, 52, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at Warren Memorial Hospital.
A celebration of Poofie’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 12:00 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal.
Poofie was born on December 15, 1973 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to the late Russell Leonard Jordan and Lula Irene Gray Jordan. He was currently a dedicated employee at White Horse Car Wash.
Poofie’s greatest joy was found by the water. He spent countless hours fishing, always happiest with a rod in his hand and a line in the pond. Whether he was chasing the big catch or simply enjoying the quietness of nature, the water was his sanctuary. His love for the simple things in life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Surviving along with his mother are his companion, Helen Roberts; son, Nicholas Jaquay Jordan; two daughters, Takiyah Marie Jordan and Ashley Renee Jordan; brother, Darryl Jordan; sister, Tracey Davis; six grandchildren, Lilian, Madeleine, August, Ny, London and Ry; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Leonard Jordan.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
The repass will be held at the Warren County Community Center, 538 Villa Avenue, Front Royal, immediately following the funeral.

To the family of Poofie, I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I hadn’t seen him for a long time. however I was so fond of his friendship in school. He was so funny and happy all the time. I remember him giving my mom a hard time when she worked at Kmart. My heart goes out to you all. sending prayers.
I’m gonna miss you poofie I’m praying for the family and kids. I loved poofie he was like a grandfather to me we worked together at the car wash and hungout all the time when off work and he would always push me to be better and chase my dreams. He was an amazing man he would take care of anyone if he could! The one thing I know he loved the most was his mother and his kids he talked about them all the time and made me feel like one of his own! Rip poofie love you dawg 🙏🙏
