Eva Mae Devlin, age 86, a longtime resident of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 after a long illness. Eva was the daughter of the late Ellis and Mae Roberts from Phoenixville, PA.
Eva spent her life gently and humbly serving and loving her family and anyone else who crossed her path. She was known as a resourceful woman who could do anything she put her mind to, and throughout her life modeled what it means to be patient and kind.
She will be dearly missed by her husband of 67 years, William Devlin (her high school sweetheart); her sister Cathy Nichols and brother Orville Roberts of PA; her son William Devlin of Elverson, PA; daughter Lorraine Welch-Morse of Neversink, NY; daughter Eileen Moriarty of Fort Valley, VA; daughter Patti Nappi of Berlin, CT; her six grandchildren Tina Tynecki, Tom Welch, Sam Zappia, Ricky Nappi, Jasmine Nappi, and Jessica Nappi; and countless others.
Calling hours will be held at Eva and Bill’s home, 86 McCoys Ford Rd., Front Royal, VA on Saturday, December 31, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. followed by a short memorial service in the home. A service will be held in Pennsylvania as well at a later date to be determined.
