Hazel Rebecca Pomeroy Campbell

Hazel Rebecca Pomeroy Campbell, 84, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at home with her loving husband and son by her side.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with Sammy Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Front Royal.

Hazel was born May 25, 1941 on the Skyline Drive on the Rappahannock County side, daughter of the late William McKinnley and Edith Thresa Kenney Pomeroy. She was also preceded in death by her son, Eddie Campbell.

Hazel will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving is her loving and devoted husband of 64 years, Tommy Campbell; one son, Dallas Campbell of Front Royal; and one granddaughter, River Eve Campbell of Front Royal.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Pallbearers will be Al Atwood, Alex Atwood, Michael Moore, Dalton Rutherford, Michael Rutherford, and Zach Queen.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 19 from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.

    I have so many wonderful memories with Hazel especially watching our Cowboys play . She was a wonderful woman who always treated me like family . I’m so happy you’re finally at peace and no more pain. You will never be forgotten and I will love and miss you forever!

    Hazel & Tommy for many years dedicated their lives to the Front Royal Little League. Hazel ran that Concession stand all those years. She was a true Blessing to that Program. Our sincere prayers go to the family.
