Helen Louise Darr, 77, of Bentonville, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, in her daughters home.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 16, at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Sammy Campbell. Interment will follow in the Panorama Memorial Gardens at Waterlick.

Mrs. Darr was born on October 5, 1940, in Clinton, Iowa, daughter of the late Frederick and Mildred Gusse Schwartz. She retired after many dedicated years as a CNA from Commonwealth Assisted Living of Front Royal, formerly the Southerlands. Mrs. Darr was married to the late Kenneth Lyle “Nose” Darr.

Surviving are a son Kenneth Lyle “Ken” Darr, Jr (Wendy) of Front Royal; daughter Robin Bowers (Jeff) of Bentonville; three brothers Donald Schwartz, Wesley Schwartz, and Frederick Schwartz; three sisters Dorothy Peters, Eunice Violett, and Edna Mae Montague; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Darr was preceded in death by her parents, husband; son Joseph Darr, Sr.; two brothers Kenneth Schwartz and William Schwartz; and two sisters Elnora Schwartz and Alma Funaro.

Pallbearers will be David Lyle Bowers, Jarrod A. Bowers, Joe Darr, Jr., Chris Spiker, Jeremy Spiker, and Jesse Lake.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Katelyn Bowers, Destiny Soyars, Deanna Bowers, Devon Seal, Mandy Spiker, and Kailey Darr.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 16, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
