Helen Louise Truehart, 85, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at her home.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal.

Mrs. Truehart was born January 16, 1931 in Bentonville, Virginia to the late Ashby Hockman and Dorothy Virginia Ralls Jenkins.

She was a bartender at VFW Post 1860 in Front Royal for many years and she will be missed by us all.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Peter Truehart and her daughter, Wanda Hockman.

Survivors include two daughters, Enola Carter of White Pine, Tennessee and Dawn Truehart of Ocean City, Maryland; two sons, Daniel Truehart (Beth Irwin) of Front Royal and Chad Tedford of Athol, Massachusetts; sister, Mary Ellen Tinsman of Purcellville, Virginia; three brothers, Glenn Jenkins of Bentonville, Sterling Jenkins of Front Royal and Doug Jenkins of West Virginia; eight grandchildren, including her special granddaughter, Lorna Truehart, Tara Truehart, Jerry Lee Henry, Jr., Kenneth Allen Reynolds, Jr., Shawn David Reynolds, Amber Nichole Irwin, Jessica Lee Tedford and Amelia Tedford; great grandchildren, Lorna Louise Lockhart, Logan Lee Lockhart, Aiden Lee Martin, Lucy, Raylyn, Scott, MacKenzie, Tre, Korbin and many more relatives.

A reception will take place Saturday, July 16 at the VFW Pavilion at 4 PM. Anyone wishing to bring food can bring it directly to the pavilion.
