Jean Carolyn Baker McDonald, 90, of Warren County, Virginia, passed away on June 14, 2015, at Warren Memorial Hospital.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by ministers Betty Denton and Jared Snyder. Burial will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. McDonald was born on August 24, 1924, in Warren County, the daughter of the late Ernest Elmer and Edna Pearl Palmer Baker of Warren County.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Howard McDonald (Bally); brothers Roy Baker and Frank Baker; her sisters Frances Vermillion and Dorothy Wood; and three grandsons Roger Douglas McDonald, Jr., Shay McDonald, and Ralph Hilton.
Mrs. McDonald worked at Avtex and the Aileen factories. She enjoyed her family and many friends after her retirement.
She is survived by her daughters Patricia Giles and husband C. E. Giles and Carolyn Hilton and her husband Don; her sons Raymond McDonald and his wife Micki and Roger McDonald and his wife Babe; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a nephew/son Bill Shadler and his wife Reba.
Pallbearers will be Skip Giles, Kenny Giles, Chad McDonald, Sheldon McDonald, Alvin McDonald, and Carroll McDonald.
