Margaret Kinsella Johnson, 67, of Front Royal, VA, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, VA.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 14, at 11:00 am. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Sammy Campbell. The family will receive friends immediately following the service until 12:30 p.m. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Columbia Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, VA.
Mrs. Johnson was born August 30, 1948 in Washington, D.C. daughter of the late Harold Kinsella and Dorothy Bergeson Kinsella. She spent her career as a defense contractor. She retired as Vice President of Indus Technology in San Diego, CA in 2005 and returned to her native Virginia to spend time with her family.
Surviving her are her husband Philip Harold Johnson of Front Royal; two daughters Katherine Johnson Platter and her husband Richard Lee Platter, Jr. and Sarah Ann Morey and her husband Scott Harold Morey all of Front Royal; her sister Katherine Kinsella and her husband Edgar James of Washington, D.C.; two brother-in-laws David Johnson and his wife Ria Johnson, Stephen Johnson and his wife Julie Johnson, and proceeded in death by her sister-in-law, Jeanne Scorzelli, five grandchildren Jessica Platter, Richard Lee Platter, III, Jacob Hunger, Jason “Bobby” Hunger, and Christian Morey; and nieces Karin Squires, Erin James, Mara James, and Bridgett Brooks; and nephews Craig Johnson, Michael Scorzelli, Matthew Scorzelli, Lon Scorzelli, Brent Scorzelli, and Shawn Scorzelli.
