Martha Christine Francis Aleshire Breeden

Martha Christine Francis Aleshire Breeden passed away in her home on Saturday March 30, 2024 at the age of 93.

Martha was born Sept. 29, 1930 in Stanley, VA to the late John W.E. Aleshire and Mina L. Painter Aleshire.

Martha was preceded in death by her seven siblings, Omer, Naomi, Robert, Alene, Carson and Warren, as well as her husband of 42 years, Floyd C. “Topsy” Breeden, and step daughter, Deborah J. Babb.

Martha worked for the Warren County Schools as a Cafeteria Manager for 20 plus years and loved all of the children she got to see and speak to daily.  She was a devoted and active member of the Front Royal Seventh Day Adventist Church.  She loved family gatherings and telling stories of growing up on the Farm and driving from Stanley daily to Rockville, MD across Route 211, no matter what the weather, to go to work at the Adventist Sanitarium and the sewing factory.

She loved her family and friends dearly. Her laugh was always a hearty one and could be infectious.  She devoted her life to her husband, son, daughter and the light of her life, her grandson Robbie.

Martha is survived by her son, Charles Aleshire and wife Charlene of Salem, VA; her daughter, Lisa Supernaugh and husband Gary; her grandson, Robert Foster and wife Joanna; her step-grandchildren, Donnie Babb and wife Danielle, Todd Supernaugh and wife Desiree, and Mark Supernaugh; her two great-grandsons, Brayden and Bentley Foster, whom she loved more than they will ever know; her nine step great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Maddox Funeral Home on Monday April 8, 2024 at 11 A.M. to be officiated by Pastor Wayne Spangenberg. A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7 from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Following all services her entombment will take place at Panorama Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Robert Foster, Bill Grove, Jim Johnson, Gary Supernaugh, Todd Supernaugh and Mark Supernaugh.
