William Edward “Nick” Nicholson, Jr., 64, of Star Tannery, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center in Winchester, Virginia.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Panorama Memorial Gardens with Sammy Campbell officiating.
Nick was born June 17, 1959 in Front Royal, Virginia, son of William Edward Nicholson, Sr. and Lillie Louise Spence Nicholson of Star Tannery.
He retired after many dedicated years from Dupont in Front Royal. Nick was a member of Strasburg Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #403, and an avid fisherman and hunter. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Surviving, with his parents, is his wife of 44 years, Susan Kay Lowe Nicholson; one son, William Scott “Scottie” Nicholson and wife Ambria of Bunker Hill, West Virginia; daughter, Samantha Ann Nicholson of Winchester; grandson, Jaxson Scott Nicholson, and granddaughter, Reagan Elizabeth Nicholson, both at home; a brother, Wayne Allen Nicholson and wife Jenny of Front Royal; nephew, Lucas Nicholson; and niece, Spencer Nicholson.
Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 West Cork Street, Winchester, Virginia 22601 or to a charity of one’s choice.
