Mary Catherine Fogle, 78, of Front Royal, VA, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Blue Ridge Hospice in Winchester.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 3, at 3:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Revs. Bobby and Diann Whetzel and Sammy Campbell. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

A reception will be held at First Assembly of God, N. Shenandoah Ave, Front Royal, immediately following the burial.

Ms. Fogle was born December 30, 1938 in Warren County, VA, daughter of the late Clarence and Sudie Curry Smedley.

She retired from Aileen in Flint Hill after 25 years of service and after retirement she continued to work at Marriott Ranch in Hume, VA and Heritage House in Little Washington. She was a member of Front Royal Church of the Brethren and Front Royal Women of the Moose Lodge 1194.

Surviving are her children Bonnie Wright of Front Royal; Richard Fogle and wife Dorothy of Front Royal, and Connie Dunlap and husband Steve of Winchester; two sisters Ruth Stillwell and Betty Lillard both of Front Royal; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a special aunt Margaret Knoch Torrence of Harpers Ferry, WV; and her favorite dog “Boy”. She was preceded in death by her brother Gilbert Smedley.

Pallbearers will be Logan Lockhart, Zackary Fogle, Larry Lephey, Jamie Whitmer, Tommy Jones, and Larry Settle.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 2, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home.
