Mildred Henry Almarode, 87, of Front Royal, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, in the Winchester Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 9 at 3:30 p.m. at Prospect Hill Cemetery conducted by Rev. Jim Bunce.

Mrs. Almarode was born on June 23, 1929, in Front Royal daughter of the late Ira William Henry and Maggie Mae Ramey Henry. She was a member of the Marlow Heights Baptist Church in Front Royal. Mrs. Almarode was married to the late Raymond D. “Gus” Almarode, Jr.

Surviving are one daughter Terry Almarode Licklider of Stephens City and fiancé Jim Lohman of Gordonsville; one sister Audrey Henry Carter of Front Royal; two grandsons Wesley Licklider and Cody Licklider both of Stephens City; and a special nephew Shane Robinson of Front Royal.
