Ruth Ann Burke, 75, of Huntly, Virginia passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal, Virginia.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Flint Hill Pentecostal Church with Pastor Bobby Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Flint Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Burke was born on July 7, 1941 at her home in Rappahannock County to the late James B. and Colleen Foster. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Edward Garfield Burke II and her sister, Rena Mae Atkins.

She worked for the Aileen Sewing Factory for 22 years and was a member of Flint Hill Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include her son, Edward Garfield Burke III (Lisa); two daughters, Carol Ann Nicholson and Rebecca Lynn Foreback; six siblings, Mildred Riley, James Foster, Marie Woodard, Elzora Nicholson, Margaret Settle and Irene Fletcher; six grandchildren, Shanna Nicholson, Zachary Gunter, Jennifer Foreback, Samantha Foreback, Brittany Burke and Edward Garfield Burke IV and six great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 7 to 9 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 W. Main Street, Front Royal.

Pallbearers will be Sam Foreback, Wayne Burke, Bill Burke, Mike Atkins, Ronnie Atkins, Jonathan Fletcher, James Fletcher and Stewart Settle.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Williams, Elvis Foster, Chuck Riley, Mark Steele and Donald Steele.
