Ruth Eileen Harry, 84, of Front Royal, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016, in the Lynn Care Center in Front Royal.

Funeral services will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

Mrs. Harry was born on February 6, 1931, in Edmonston, Maryland, daughter of the late Marshall Sword Painter and Marian M. Cooke Painter. Mrs. Harry was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years Joseph Mark Harry, Sr.

Surviving are two sons Joseph Mark Harry, Jr. of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, and Richard Harry of Fredericksburg, Virginia; three daughters Susan Beyer of Marion, North Carolina, Linda Hendricks of Wilmington, North Carolina, and Lorraine Rawlette of King George, Virginia; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
