Scott Edward “Scotty” Taylor, 55, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026 at his residence.
A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.
Scotty was born on July 4, 1971 in Front Royal to the late Milton and Elsie Mills Taylor. He joined Electricians Local #26 when he was 17 years old. He formerly drove race cars on dirt tracks and was an avid racing and sports fan.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Amber Nichols; two daughters, Allison Taylor and Annika Taylor (Cody); son, Jordan Scott Taylor; brother, Kenneth Taylor; two sisters, Angel King (Earl) and Pam Taylor; granddaughter, Adelina Taylor and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family will be establishing a memorial trust in his name.
I, just like everyone else am dumbfounded with this news, Scott was a good friend and an irreplaceable employee at Coastal Electric. He was an awesome electrician, a great father and husband and my go-to resource for everything NASCAR! My heart and prayers go out to his family during this very difficult time.
