Leon and I became friends as we helped put on car shows and cruise ins in the area. Leon loved hanging out with friends at the car events. Leon was always willing to jump in and lend a hand. Gone at such a young age. Leon and I had talked about God, Heaven and life after we die. Leon told me a few months ago that he had accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and had asked for forgiveness of his sins. I can say Leon is now in heaven with his Savior and all those friend and family members who were there waiting to great him and welcome him into eternity. RIP my friend. Please put a good word in for me. See you one day in the future.

Leon was among the first to welcome me at the Helltown Cruisers events a few years ago. I’ll miss his sharp wit and constant presence at the car shows, but most of all, I’ll miss his friendship. The cruise-ins simply will not be the same without him and his beloved Cheviac in attendance. Rest in peace, my friend.

I knew Leon back in days of Junior High school. We had recently spoken on FB. This was not the news I had hoped for. I am glad he is no longer in pain though. My condolences to those he has left behind.
