Rita Ann Mullins went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 23, 2026 surrounded by her blessed family at her home.
Rita was a loving Mother, Mamaw and Great-Grandma.
Rita was born May 24, 1946 in Dickenson County, Virginia, daughter of the late Lockard and Ettie Perry Hamilton.
On October 16, 1965 she married the love of her life, Jessie Thomas Mullins.
She attended Hope Free Will Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jessie Thomas Mullins; brothers, Johnny, William and Bill Hamilton; sisters, Lillie French and Mary Hamilton; and one great-granddaughter, Magnolia J. Rogers.
Surviving is her son, Pernell Mullins (Sandy); daughters, Denise Hefner and fiancé Dale Butler and Faye Brown (Jerry); brothers, Dane Hamilton, Homer Hamilton (Andrea) and Gerald Hamilton; sisters, Patricia French (David) and Linda Carty; grandchildren, Brandon Mullins, Kaitlyn Rogers (Austin), Aaron Mullins and Brooke Brown; one step-granddaughter, Kristen Roy (Julian); six great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Mullins, Gerald Hamilton, Homer Hamilton, Jerry Brown, Austin Rogers and Dale Butler.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 26 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hope Free Will Baptist, 75 Cedar Park Court, Front Royal, Virginia.
A Celebration of Life service will begin at 7:00 p.m. conducted by Pastor Randy Hayes and Brandon Mullins.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, 4498 Bible Road, Crewe, Virginia 23930.

Rita was a resident in our community she was a very nice lady we are praying for the family regards Gloria & Paul Forest Lakes Management.
