Wendy Marie Dodson, 38, of Bentonville, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016, in her home.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by The Rev Marc Roberson. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Ms. Dodson was born August 16, 1977 in Front Royal, daughter of Roger Allen Dodson( Susan) of Front Royal and Rosemary Grace Davner (Tom) of Winchester.

Surviving with her parents are her fiancée Roger L. “Peanut” Andrews, Jr. of Bentonville; a son Kristian Allen Andrews of Bentonville; a sister Crystal L. Dodson of Ranson, West Virginia; and a number of aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister Jennifer “Jenny” Leigh Dodson; her paternal grandparents Betty Lou and William Dodson; and her maternal grandparents John D. and Nina W. Cash.

Pallbearers will be Jason Mahoney, Tommy Mahoney, Harry Edward Andrews, Jr., Harry Edward Andrews, III, Clarence Waddell, and Charles Weary, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Stanley and Frank Atkins.

Wendy loved to cook and was a caretaker to many in her family. She had a heart of gold.

The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, and staff of Warren Memorial Hospital Emergency Room, the University of Virginia Hospital, and Nancy Brubaker of Luray.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
