William I. “Billy” Beatty

William I. “Billy” Beatty, 86, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021, in Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, January 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with Sammy Campbell officiating. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Beatty was born August 4, 1934, in Front Royal, Virginia son of the late Isaac Newton and Susan Matilda Costello Beaty. He was a life time member and past Governor of the Front Royal Moose Lodge #829 and a member and past officer of the B.P.O.E. #2382 in Front Royal. Mr. Beatty retired from the Asbestos Workers Local Union #24. He was married to the late Mary Ruth Redmon Beatty.

Surviving are three daughters Debbie Goisse (Chris), Kathy Carter and Lorrie L. Sealock all of Front Royal; five grandchildren Timmy Carter, Kimberly Proko (Jake), Robert, Jeffrey and Nicholas Sealock; five great-grandchildren Kelsie and Taylor Carter, Ryan and Emma Proko and Alaynna “Lil Red” Sealock; and two great-great-grandchildren Grayson and Royal. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son Alan Beatty; and 2 sisters.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Donna Guessford for all you have done for our dad.
Mr. Beatty was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 20 from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.

    So sorry to hear this news. I will miss chatting with Billy at Lyncare (when it reopens). His family was our neighbors when I was a child and known him and family since then.

    We send our deepest sympathy on the loss of an incredible father and grandfather in Billy. Thank you for sharing his life with the Moose Fraternity all these years. His wise counsel, generous heart and spirit of service made a world of difference in the lives of so many, including countless children at Mooseheart and seniors at Moosehaven. Your family remains in our thoughts and prayers.
