Our hearts go out to those who shared Albert’s life with great adventure and laughter. I know he brought joy to my mom while working together before becoming an outstanding teacher.
May his friends and family find peace in his memories.

“Mr” Dudeck was my 6th grade teacher at Ressie Jefferies ES and had a great influence on me – encouraging me to learn about the world around me and to eventually attend college and build a good life. Of all my teachers I can specifically remember many of his lessons. These included a hands-on exercise comparing exhaust emissions between his “new” 1976 Honda and Mr. Warrick’s “old” VW van – an early glimpse of ecological consciousness. We also had a guest speaker in class who described his experiences growing up in segregated Front Royal, and being unable to attend the public schools. This had a profound effect on my view of the world. My favorite was Mr. Dudeck telling the story of his working in a soda bottling factory during college – he separated used glass bottles into their various sizes for re-use. He told of an older man who he worked with who did the same job for his entire life – this experience encouraged him to complete college and pursue a better future for himself. I think of him often and am grateful for his teaching and guidance in my formative years.
