For the last 4 years I have eaten breakfast with Charlie at McDonald’s. It has been hit and miss since the old McDonald’s fire. He was a nice man who I will miss dearly. He never gave an unsolicited opinion and when he did share his thoughts they were always welcomely received because they were often based on fact.
It’s the small things that I will miss, like how every once in a while he forgets to take the honey bun out of his back pocket in the morning and when he got to it it’d be squished.
Charlie, I look forward to seeing you in heaven buddy till then, I bid you adieu.
I wish I could have been at his funeral if it were not for travel plans but I can’t change.
Thank you for your kind words and a little humor. We all had a smile with the honey bun moments.
SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS WE BOTH WORKED WITH HIM AT THE PRESS FOR MANY YEARS
