Clytice Chamberlin Eshelman

C. EshelmanClytice Chamberlin Eshelman, 93, passed away from this earthly existence into life eternal on December 20, 2015, at her home “Riversong”, surrounded by her beloved family.

She was the daughter of the late Rebecca Josephine Croskey and her husband George Edgar Chamberlin of Platte County, MO. She was born there in 1922. Clytice was married November 26, 1943 to Samuel Compton Eshelman, who predeceased her in 2002. She was predeceased by a sister Carol Brenner and her husband Richard.

She is survived by two daughters, Rebecca (Becky) and her husband Larry Moutogiannis and Nancy and her husband Glenn Laing; grandchildren Katie Moutogiannis, her husband Matt Bradley, Sam Moutogiannis and wife Amanda Knight, Jeremiah Compton Laing and his fiancée, Tara Fristoe, and Emily Laing, her husband Joseph Bosacco; great grandchildren Alexa and Ethan Bradley and Jake, Sadie and Nellie Bosacco of Front Royal and Strasburg, VA; a brother-in-law, Wayne Eshelman and wife Janice; two nieces, Carol Hershey and Ruth Brenner and great-nephew, Chris Hershey, all of Parkville, MO; six nephews, Mike Chuck, Bill, Tom, John and Mark Eshelman all of Front Royal, VA.

Clytice has been a life-long member of the Presbyterian Church. She was a very talented artist and enjoyed painting, drawing, and quilting. She also had a great appreciation for nature and the outdoors. She was proud of her heritage and devoted much time to family genealogy. She was known for her kind heart, caring ways, and deep love for her family.

The family will receive friends at Maddox Funeral Home, Tuesday December 22 from 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 23 at 2 p.m., Front Royal Presbyterian Church conducted by The Rev. Dr. C. Thomas Rhyne. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Front Royal, VA
