My deepest sympathy to your family. Betty Belle was someone so many of us admired—as a 1955 classmate, a lifelong teacher, and a remarkable person. Her impact will continue to live on through all the lives she touched over the years. May our dear classmate rest in eternal peace with those who have gone before her!

I had Mrs. Leckie for homeroom and science in the eighth grade, and for a math class one year as well. I can see where she would be on a list of outstanding teachers. She was a great teacher, and I really enjoyed her classes. She made learning fun. RIP, Mrs. Leckie.
