Kathleen Haug Shaffer, 58, of Front Royal, VA, formerly of Stephens City, VA, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at her home.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, August 12 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home.

Ms. Shaffer was born June 11, 1957, in Alexandria, VA daughter of the late Robert Charles Haug and Joan Norton Haug. She worked as a private caregiver.

Surviving are her son Robert Shaffer and wife Tory of Lexington Park, MD; three step-children Herbert Shaffer, II of Phoenix, AZ, Jessica Shaffer Bailey of Chesapeake, VA , and Jeromy Shaffer of Front Royal; one sister Mary Haug Becker and husband Joe of Front Royal; one brother Edward J. Haug and wife Roberta of Strasburg, VA; three grandchildren Natalie Shaffer, Benjamin Shaffer, and Jacob Shaffer; and two nephews Paul Becker and Jason Becker.
