Oris “Pie Jr.” Alvin Barner, 63, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 in the comfort of his home.
A funeral service will be held for Oris at 5:30 PM on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 W Main Street, Front Royal with Reverend Alfred Woods officiating. Guests are welcome to visit one hour prior to the service.
Oris was born on December 12, 1962 in Alberta, Virginia to the late Lewis Alvin Barner and Dora Lee Baskerville. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Lena Rhodes.
Surviving Oris is his loving wife of 18 years, Monica Lynn Barner; his children, Oris Barner Jr., James Eury Jr. (Megan), Jasmine Eury (Arkeem), Jordan Eury (Michelle), and Jamal Eury (Ashley); his siblings, Doris, Janice, Terry, Patsy, and James; his numerous grandchildren; his one great-grandchild; his numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his special nephew, William Rhodes (Jennifer).
Oris loved watching all kinds of sports; football, basketball, Nascar racing, and many more, but he thoroughly enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Eagles play.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to assist the family care of Maddox Funeral Home.
Oris was a great Mechanic and had many other skills that made his day. Oris was a jokester, he love to crack a joke here and there. He had 5 grands and 1 gg-son. Oris loved animals especially dogs.He was a kind loving person that will help anyone in need. Ignacia is his 1st grandchild, Amere was his 2nd, Oximara was his 3nd Then there was Zyaire was his 4th and Alina was his last grandbaby. I just loved this man, he was crazy, but caring.
